What you own

A Treasury bond represents lending to the government, rather than owning part of a company. CMA Rwanda explains this distinction in its investor FAQ.

Face value is the amount the issuer promises to repay at maturity under the bond’s terms. It can differ from the price paid for the bond. A promise to pay is not a guarantee that an investment is free of risk.

Read the particular issue

Use the official prospectus for the specific security. As a reading checklist, locate its identifier, face value, coupon provisions, payment dates and maturity date. Do not transfer the terms of one issue to another or treat an old auction notice as an offer still available today.

This introduction does not publish current auction dates, minimum amounts, tax treatment or yields. Check the current official issue documents and ask your broker about anything unclear.

Keep the evidence together

Keep the prospectus alongside your own transaction or allocation record. A public prospectus describes an issue; it does not by itself prove your personal holding. In Struct Capital, check manually entered or imported information against the original document before using it for tracking.
